Richard Avedon diptych exercise

In week 2 we had to emulate Richard Avedons diptych that he did on Francis Bacon here I took two images of my subject with one being a close up and the second one where my subjects shoulder is slightly out of the shot.

Next we had to create a canvas in photoshop
File-new-create an A3 sized canvas with resolution of 300 pixels/inch
Colour profile: Adobe RGB (1998)
We rotated it so that it was landscape
Image-rotate- 90 degree for clockwise

next we opened both of our images in photoshop using the cropping tool if it were necessary so that the subject in each image was similar to the ones Richard Avedon did. Next we used the move tool to pull my images onto the canvas.

Next we used the transform tool to resize our photo to fit onto the canvas.

Clicking on the background layer
Edit-Fill-Contents-black

Save as a PSD
file-save as-format= photoshop

Layer-flatten layer
save as TIFF
file-save as-format= TIFF
